Jakarta, Agustus 27, 2024 - Archipelago International, the largest hotel operator in Southeast Asia, recently held the "Archipelago Influencers & Media Cooking Battle" at The Grove Suites by Grand Aston, Jakarta.
This highly anticipated event brought together prominent influencers and media representatives in a cooking competition, as part of Archipelago International’s latest quarterly F&B promotion, “Asian Snack.”
The cooking battle revolved around the theme of "Asian Snack," where participants, consisting of media and influencers, were challenged to showcase their cooking skills, creativity, and food presentation abilities. Participants were tasked with replicating an Asian Snack dish within 40 minutes, after watching a live demonstration by Archipelago International’s Corporate Pastry Chef, Risman Sukmawan. For this competition, participants were specifically challenged to prepare ‘Mango Sago,’ a signature Thai dessert snack made from ingredients like coconut milk, arumanis mango, mint leaves, and other traditional Asian components

Through this cooking battle, we were able to interact with media and influencers creatively and interactively, while celebrating the rich and diverse flavors of Asia. Hanes also emphasized the importance of events like this in strengthening the company’s commitment to preserving Asian culinary traditions. The judging process in this competition included various criteria, such as taste, creativity, presentation, and the ability to maintain the authentic flavors of Asian cuisine.
The winners will receive prizes such as hotel vouchers, aprons from renowned fashion designer Poppy Dharsono, and several attractive gifts from sponsors, including cooking equipment and food products.
